Just as our loved ones who have passed over watch over us and visit us from time to time, so do our beloved pets. I have received many stories from individuals about dead pets that came back to visit. So it is no surprise that animal lovers want to connect with their deceased pets in the spirit world as well.
It’s very important to remember that love is very powerful energy, creating its own communication network. When we love an animal a Soul promise is made to us from them, and it is this: ‘My soul will always be coupled with your soul. I am with you always’.

Pets will pass on and discard their physical vessel. The pain of this loss for their ‘people’ is often overwhelming, whether a pet’s death is sudden or expected. Pets become part of the family, sometimes the most important part. They offer unconditional love and companionship and they never outgrow us or judge us. It is no wonder that when they cross over we feel the loss so very deeply. We care for them and humanize them for the most part, and this leaves us bereft when they die.
I have found that pets in Spirit are well aware of the ‘life and death journey,’ much more so than we are. Animals remember the great cycles of reincarnation and consciously choose at a soul level, the people who care for them, the environment in which they live, and general situations for their experience. They, too, are evolving in their unique way, just as we are. Inter-species change is very rare in reincarnation, however it does happen!

Telepathically talk to your pet’s Spirit. Before you sleep, ask them to visit you in dreams. Be aware of the signs, smells, sensations and sounds. They will try to manifest their energy in some way around you.
Talking to a dead dog or cat may seem silly to some people, however, I believe a particularly powerful loving bond can stretch beyond the normal, into the ‘paranormal’, whether it’s between two people or a person and an animal. Animal communication after death takes time
It’s important to remember that strong negative emotions–like those produced from unresolved grief, self-blame, guilt,– create negative energy that interferes with signs or messages from heaven. Unresolved grief and the pressure of strong emotions can create a barrier to intuitive awareness.
Talk out loud to your pet about what is troubling you; bottling up emotions radiates a disturbing energy cloud. Let your pet know that you are working through your grief towards a goal of contentment.

Animal afterlife: Can you contact your pets from beyond the grave?
I will try to explain briefly how our departed pets communicate with us. Usually, animals only have enough spiritual energy to send brief messages of emotion through the dimensions from heaven to earth. Any messages of guidance (which tend to feature many details and therefore require more energy to communicate) that animals send, may also come through angels or humans souls in heaven (spirit guides) helping animals deliver those messages.
Higher beings in Spirit are capable of bringing their energy through in the form of an animal. If you experience this phenomenon, you may see what is called a totem.. a spirit that looks like a dog, cat, bird, horse, or other beloved animals, but is actually an angel or spirit guide manifesting energy in animal form to deliver a message to you on behalf of an animal.

Set your intention to ‘visit’ your pet or invite them to visit you, during the night. All pets that have passed on (no matter how it happened) are very happy when living on the other side. They have told me many times about the lives they had with their people/mommy and daddy.
Yes they re-incarnate and seem to know a lot more about the grand cycles of life then we ‘remember’. An animal communication session is a special way to ask questions and get answers from your Spirit pet. It really helps with grief and other painful feeling of loss. It also opens the door wide to continue to feel and stay connected to your precious pet.

One of the most common ways that departed animals communicate with people is by sending their signature spiritual energy to be with someone they loved on Earth. The goal is to comfort the person they loved who is grieving. When that happens, people will become aware of the animal’s energy because they’ll feel a presence that reminds them of that animal.
Animal spirits often come back to spend a lot of time with their former human friends, particularly those people who are on their own and very lonely. They share their energy with their human friends, and along with the person’s guides and spirit helpers [like angels and saints], have their unique role to play in healing.

That’s your pet saying hello and letting you know that they are okay on the other side.
Many individuals feel guilty because of having to put their pets to sleep, which should not be. Euthanasia is a very difficult decision for the parents of a pet. But in the event your pet does not have the ability to live a good life anymore, the best thing to do in order to help them is to let them pass. Their life in the other realm is a beautiful one. Your pet is definitely very happy there and waiting for you to join them someday.
Our pets remain with us in Spirit until we reunite with them and they send us signs that they are still with us to comfort and reassure us in our grief. Sometimes a familiar bark or meow is heard, or the familiar sound of footsteps or scratching is heard in our pets favorite places. Some people are able to actually see their pets and feel their presence around them, even feeling the weight of their pet on their beds or couches.
Communicating with Deceased Pets
One of the most appropriate ways to put “Heaven” into words would be to term it as a dimension without the existence of death or life. It is here that your beloved pet is having the time of its life, in its young and youthful body, healthy again. They know that you loved them unconditionally and they come and see you in your low times and the times that you cry. Our pets that were with us in the mortal world can see and communicate with us in the afterlife.
Animals are the authentic incarnations of love and do not have any karma that they require to pay. A lot of people are of the opinion that the pet that they choose after their beloved pet passed away, is the re-embodiment of their previous one. This can be true! Many times, it also happens that the older animals end up passing on their own habits and traits into the younger animals still living. So it is when the older pets pass that we are very likely to notice those same habits in the youngsters because the impression that the older pet has left with them.
