Understanding Karmic Balance
The Definition Of Karma
The definition of Karma in Buddhism is, “the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences”, or, the short version: cause and effect which moves your destiny in past, present, and future lifetimes.
You are in control of your destiny. When you choose the “positive” karmic path, you operate with integrity, honesty, and correct action to build a destiny in which the positive expands while the negative diminishes. If you choose the “negative” karmic path, you will make choices that solely benefit you either monetarily or emotionally.
For example: You will cheat a family member, friend, or business partner all because you convince yourself it is “correct action” by saying “they hurt me,” “ I did more work than they did, ” or “I am a better friend.”
By justifying these actions, you choose the type of behavior that sets your destiny towards drawing more “negative karma” in this and other lifetimes.
So today, choose a path of honest and compassionate thoughts and actions for yourself. Build your destiny and life path upon a strong, positive karmic foundation of integrity in business, truthfulness in relationships, and correct action in every part of your day.
Your choices are powerful. It is your life. Live it in a positive karmic way.
